Floris Herrema joined Surmount Ventures as a senior Data Scientist

Floris Herrema joined Surmount Ventures as a senior Data Scientist. He will focus on the development and exploitation of machine learning models to support portfolio companies to further accelerate digital transformation and growth. Floris has extensive experience in the aviation industry. In 2019, he obtained his doctorate on the exploitation of machine leaning to predict airport runway utilization. For the past three years, he has been working on decision-making tools for airport operations and supporting European aviation actors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
